Oil is the lifeblood of your engine. It reduces friction, lessens wear, provides lubrication, forms a seal between the pistons, rings and cylinder walls while helping to cool engine parts. Without the cleaning action of new oil, carbon and varnish buildup would be toxic to the engine. And engine oil even dampens the shock and noise of moving parts.
With a Car Repair Service oil change, or any other service, you’ll receive a Touch® Courtesy Check. We’ll look inside, outside, under the hood and underneath the car, then explain the findings and give you a written report.
Insurance Questions and Answers
Where do I get a claim number? The claim number is issued by your insurance company when the accident is reported. You can contact your insurance company to obtain your claim number.
What is a Direct Repair Shop? A Direct Repair Shop is a body shop that works directly with the insurance company and is known as a preferred shop. Shops become preferred shops by meeting certain requirements, such as having certified technicians, using the proper equipment, and maintaining a record of satisfied customers. With preferred shops, the repair process is faster since the estimates, parts orders, and repairs can be handled without waiting for approval from insurance adjusters.
Do I have to pay a deductible? Deductibles are determined by your insurance policy. Insurance companies determine fault based on the accident report. Any questions about deductibles can be answered by contacting your insurance company. Typically, with standard collision coverage, a deductible will have to be paid regardless of fault. However, with broad collision coverage, the deductible is often waived if you are not at fault.
Who do I pay my deductible to? If the deductible is not waived, you will be responsible for paying the shop when you pick up your vehicle.
What if the estimate for the damages costs more than the estimate provided by the insurance company? This is a common occurrence and not a problem. Insurance companies understand that additional repairs may be necessary. We will work directly with the insurance company to get the additional costs approved.
Do I have to take my car to the repair shop my insurance company recommends? No, the decision is up to you. You can obtain an estimate and take your car to any body shop for repairs. California law prohibits insurance companies from requiring you to get repairs at a specific shop.
Do I need to get two different estimates? There is no law requiring two different estimates. Any estimates need to be approved by the insurance company. Obtaining two estimates is usually a courtesy for a person at fault who wishes to pay out of pocket.
